Technical director Alex Kroes says that Ajax Hato actually preferred to have kept at least another year. “But we understand that he has now set his sights on this beautiful adventure that awaits him in the Premier League. We heartily give him that new challenge and his pride of what he has done for Ajax and wish him every success in England.”
Hato started in the summer of 2018 in the youth academy at Ajax. At the beginning of 2023 his debut in the first team during a match in the KNVB Cup, against FC Den Bosch. The international came into action 111 times for the first team of Ajax.
