In the financial heart of the Gulf, the head of the Buenos Aires Government, Jorge Macripresented the strategic projects of the City of Buenos Aires before authorities of the United Arab Emirates and directors of the main sovereign wealth funds in the world. The mission, part of an official tour that also includes Dubai and Shanghaiseeks to position Buenos Aires as a attractive destination for global investment in infrastructure, technology and urban development.

accompanied by Fulvio Pompeo (Secretary General and International Relations), Pablo Bereciartua (Minister of Infrastructure and Mobility), Gustavo Gago (Secretary of Communication) and Ana Ciuti (undersecretary of International Relations), Macri deployed an agenda focused on attracting foreign capital towards high-impact projects.

In Abu Dhabi, the president met with representatives of Mubadala Investment Companyone of the most powerful sovereign wealth funds on the planet, and with executives from EDGE Groupa technological innovation and defense conglomerate. He also held meetings with Eagle Hillsleader in real estate developments, and Ethara – Saif Al Noaimia reference in event and entertainment management. The goal: generate public-private alliances to finance strategic initiatives of the City.

Among the outstanding proposals, Buenos Aires presented the construction of Line F of the subwaythe transformation of the Buenos Aires Autodrome and the comprehensive renovation of the coastal front. These works are part of the urban infrastructure plan designed to enhance the connectivity, sustainability and global competitiveness of the City.

The head of Government also held a meeting with the Minister of State for International Cooperation, Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimywith whom he addressed cooperation opportunities in innovation, tourism, economic development and sustainability. According to sources from the Buenos Aires Executive, the dialogue made it possible to “strengthen a long-term institutional relationship” and open investment channels with the Arab world.

On a symbolic level, Macri made a protocol visit to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosquecultural and spiritual icon of the Emirates, a gesture interpreted as a sign of respect and cultural diplomacy towards the region.

The Buenos Aires government considers the Gulf as a strategic partner to diversify its economic and political tiesin line with its internationalization policy. With great investment capacity and long-term visionthe Emirates position themselves as a natural ally to accompany the urban and technological modernization of Buenos Aires.

The local administration highlights that the Argentine capital seeks to “consolidate itself as a regional platform for innovation, talent and opportunities,” strengthening its role as bridge between Latin America and the great economic poles of the world.
