It will take some getting used to for Joost Klein that the press is no longer in line for him. During the Eurovision Song Contest, the singer visibly enjoyed how much attention he received and how he could behave nicely eccentric. But in the meantime he seems to overestimate his own fame: he recently forbade every form of recording at Pinkpop.

Bad blood

Both the media and the public were not allowed to film Joost and with that he put bad blood to the media. It is incredible that such an event is still going with him at all, says Johan Derksen.

The today inside star says in his podcast Greetings from Grolloo: “Pinkpop always excelled because of very big artists and big names. I can remember that my wife has been to Pinkpop again to see Bruce Springsteen. But I can’t get anyone in the Netherlands who goes to Pinkpop to see Joost Klein.”

False

Johan is not at all impressed by the Europapa singer. “Joost Klein is a harmless madman who has told himself that he is a personality and that he proposes something in the showbiz.”

He continues: “That is a boy, yes, he must actually perform at parties for high school students in small after -rooms. But what does that boy have a host of God to look for on Pinkpop?”

Clown

What does Johan think that Joost has banned recordings of his Pinkpop performance? “If I had the qualities of Joost Klein, I wouldn’t want on TV either.”

He concludes: “It is a clown. After the two riots that he has now caused, the Netherlands is also a bit ready with Joost Klein.”
