“Ups, where are my guitars?”
For Johnny Marr, guitars are more than tools, as a chain of angry posts on X showed. On September 17, the musician UPS via X contacted, hoping to get his lost guitars back. He allegedly wanted to transport a fender and a Gibson guitar with the shipping company, but now they no longer seem to be found. The singer and guitarist described that he had been waiting for an explanation for days and had now found out that the guitars were officially reported as lost.
“Dear UPS, where are my guitars? You have disappeared a week ago. Now I hear from you that they have been lost. Please explain to me,” he wrote in a post. This was followed by a whole series of posts in which the 61-year-old complained about the loss and dealing with him as a customer.
Marr initially described the missing guitars: “Search for one on whose suitcase ’80’s icon’ and another one stands on the ‘Woke as fuck’.” After that, he added, rather annoyed,: “To ask me, to describe what my guitars look like, do not exactly fill me with confidence. They look the same as those that you loaded into one of your vans a few days ago. Do you remember?”
The musician marked the company in each of its four consecutive posts. Marr also added to the hashtags #fuckupsinc and #Freemyguitars.
However, his small internet rant seems to be successful for the time being. In the meantime, UPS has replied and informed him that they would send him a direct message.
It will be shown whether his guitars appear. If this is not the case, you will probably find out about X by Johnny Marr.
