Sources within the production of the VMAs tell TMZ that Depp would be in talks with the producers of the show – dressed as the well-known Moon Man, the astronaut on the VMA goblets – as a surprise at some point. How and when that will be is unknown.
The actor has won five MTV Movie Awards throughout his career, including Best Actor, Best Villain and Global Superstar. The VMA Awards will take place on Sunday, August 28 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Nicki Minaj, Måneskin, Lizzo and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, among others, will perform.
