Johnny de Mol is not amused when a reporter from Shownieuws asks him about his digital interrogation with the Spanish court. His ex Shima Kaes: “And tomorrow is the Article 12 procedure!”

The court on the Spanish island of Ibiza interrogated Johnny de Mol on Monday via a digital connection. During that conversation he again denied that he had abused his ex-girlfriend Shima Kaes. How does the presenter feel about it? A reporter from Show news asked him yesterday, but he was there not amused about.

What does Johnny say?

Witty: Shownieuws can afford more at De Molletjes than RTL Boulevard thinks it can afford. They asked Johnny about the Shima case yesterday at some charity event. “We just saw Johnny too. Annoying to have to ask, but it had to be done today,” said Dyantha Brooks.

Colleague Evert Santegoeds then at the desk: “We were talking about it yesterday on the broadcast and it would be strange if you met him today not to talk about it: the case of Shima, his ex who still haunts him. He thought he was done with it when the case was dismissed in the Netherlands due to lack of evidence, but on the contrary.”

Not amused

Evert states that Johnny did not like talking about the matter. “We asked him about it on this festive day. That didn’t go very well, but of course he wanted to say something about it.”

Johnny: “Well, I’m standing here now for a good cause, if you don’t mind, but yes, it’s not all that exciting for us anymore. It is mainly very annoying and we are just a bit fed up with it.”

What’s next? “I have no idea. We will wait patiently again.”

A lie

That is a lie, Shima now says in a press release. According to her, Johnny knows very well what the next step is. “Although the Dutch complaint was previously dismissed by the Public Prosecution Service, an Article 12 procedure has been initiated. This procedure will be heard tomorrow by the Court of Appeal in Amsterdam.”

What’s going to happen there? “The court will assess whether the Public Prosecution Service should still be obliged to prosecute Johnny de Mol. The Article 12 procedure functions as a correction mechanism to the dismissal decision of the Public Prosecution Service.”

Not closed

Johnny likes to make people believe that the case in the Netherlands has been completed, according to Shima. “Contrary to previous media reports, the case surrounding the accusations of serious assault and attempted manslaughter by Johnny de Mol on his ex-fiancée Shima Kaes in the Netherlands has not yet been closed.”

It is also not the case that Johnny can no longer be prosecuted in Spain, as Camp Johnny states. “This concerns a separate crime in another country with its own legislation, for which a separate report has been made. This case is legally completely separate from the Dutch case, which took place after the Edison Gala.”

The Spanish case concerns an incident that took place after a wedding at Hotel ME in Ibiza, Shima concludes.
