Finnish ice hockey player Rasmus Ristolainen28, received rude feedback in the NHL.

Head coach of the Philadelphia Flyers John Tortorella already said last week that he expects more from the team’s top players. Ristolainen was the target of criticism on Saturday, even though he did not play in the match due to injury.

– He has not met my expectations. I think he should play much better, Tortorella, known as a passionate coach, began.

– I’m not going to talk about it in more detail. I think everything in his game should go better.

Ristolainen has also suffered from an injury in the past. Tortorella was asked if the old injury affects the Finnish defender’s game.

– No, was the answer.

Ristolainen moved from the Buffalo Sabers to the Philadelphia Flyers last year. The defender signed a five-year contract extension with the Flyers in March.

The total value of the contract is $25.5 million, which translates to about $5.1 million per season.

Ristolainen has played four matches this season. He doesn’t have any power points, the plus-minus statistic is four notches below zero.

Tortorella could not say whether the defenseman will play in the Flyers’ next game on Tuesday.

The native of Turku has scored 48+213=261 in 612 games in his NHL career.
