John Lennon’s killer: Jail parole denied for 12th time

Mark David Chapman, who shot John Lennon on December 8, 1980, remains in prison

It was a chilly NYC night in December 1980 when a man walked up to John Lennon’s Manhattan home and shot him in cold blood. Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono were heading back to the Upper West Side. Lennon had signed Chapman that day on a copy of his recently released album Double Fantasy.
