John de Bever would like to participate in a new season of the former Dutch celebrity show Sterren Dansen op het IJs. “That program was great!”, shouts Johan Derksen’s best friend.
You really can’t ignore it lately: John de Bever and his sweetheart Kees de Bever, who loves all the attention so much that he has even become a practicing celebrity himself, appear in almost every celebrity program. According to Johan Derksen, who is good friends with John, they consciously say yes to every TV invitation they receive.
John wants to dance
John would also love to participate in Star Dancing on Ice, although that program has not been on for a while. Perhaps the popularity of figure skating at the Olympic Games has made some TV bosses think again, according to the singer.
He says in the prominent panel of the Story: “Yes. Of course that should come back. That program was great! I think it’s a lot of hard work if you participate in it. I would enjoy it. It’s always good to learn something. I can dance anyway.”
Johan says no
Royalty fan Johan Vlemmix, however, speaks out in the same panel against the return of the ice dancing show. “They should come up with something new. There are so many sports that can be promoted. I find it unimaginative to constantly give old programs a new look.”
Former candidate Marga Scheide believes that the show should return, but under conditions. “Although I only had two weeks to prepare, I still spent some time in the program. If they come up with a new season, I would advise the makers that all participants are at the same level. Then the battle is the most fair.”
