Johannes Holopainen jumps into the role of a hijacker in the new series.
Johannes Holopainen is excited about summer.
According to him, the actor’s calendar is filled with the development of various projects and the implementation of his own ideas. Filming stuff is also known, but there is also room for leisure activities.
– We have a small boat with a group of friends. I renovated it here in the spring and it’s starting to be ready for landing soon, Holopainen smiles.
Holopainen will soon be seen in the new series, when he jumps into the vortex of Mikkeli’s hostage drama. Premiering in August Explosive point– series Holopainen plays a hijacker Jorma Takalaa.
Holopainen jumped into the events of the late 1980s, even though he wasn’t born then. Mikkeli’s hostage drama took place in 1986, Holopainen himself represents the 1988 vintage.
The hostage drama was not familiar to the actor himself before filming the series.
– There was no observation about it and I hadn’t even heard the whole thing. Yes, it was so quiet around me that it came as a completely new thing, says Holopainen.
Diving into a historical crime drama was interesting for Holopainen.
– It was a really fun process. Meaningful and rewarding, Holopainen says and states that he is grateful to the team of authors of the series.

The dancing continues
Last fall, Holopainen won Dancing with the stars – program’s dance partner Katri Riihilahten with.
At the press conference, Holopainen says that the dances have continued even after the program.
In the second week of June, Holopainen will be seen at the Helsinki samba carnival in the role of the samba king.
– They asked in an old-fashioned email that you will become king. I said of course, Holopainen laughs.
Holopainen will be crowned the carnival king on Friday, June 12, on the Espa stage in Helsinki. At the time of the interview, design work is in progress, for example regarding the outfit.
– Samba costumes are not quite simple, as there is no central warehouse for samba clothes, but they are made to order for everyone, says Holopainen.
His outfit is also created on a fast schedule.
– Let’s do everything we can and enjoy it. It’s a fun, happy summer story, Holopainen smiles.
Holopainen has performed with Riihilahti at one gig in the spring. The actor is also open to additional gigs.
Holopainen would also like to bring dance to other environments.
– It would be wonderful to dance on stage. There are dreams like that, says Holopainen.
