Johan Cruijff Arena host for two tough practice international matches Orange

The Dutch national team will complete the first international matches of 2022 in the Johan Cruijff Arena. At the end of March, the practice matches with Denmark and Germany are scheduled for the Orange in Amsterdam.

The matches in the Johan Cruijff Arena will be played on March 26 and 29. First Orange receives the Danes and three days later the Germans.

National coach Louis van Gaal is pleased with the strong opponents. “Of course Denmark and Germany are appealing countries,” he says on the KNVB website. “I want to play against strong opponents, especially with a view to the World Cup, so I am very satisfied with these duels. Together with the matches in the Nations League, I think we have a good program in 2022. That is an important part of good preparation in the run-up to the World Cup.”

Nations League

The Arena also hosts the final matches in the Nations League. On Sunday, September 25, the Orange squad will play against Belgium. The other two home games in the Nations League will be played in De Kuip in Rotterdam. The team of national coach Louis van Gaal will meet Poland on Friday 10 June and Wales on Monday 13 June.

It is not yet known whether fans will be allowed to attend the games. The KNVB also announces that the time stop will be announced later.
