Jogi Löw cancels Tuchel’s successor – “Stuss”

The ex-national coach speaks clearly about a possible successor to Thomas Tuchel as Bayern coach – and explains his point of view.

Former national coach Joachim Löw has clearly rejected all speculation about a possible job at FC Bayern Munich on Welt TV. The thesis put forward by the interviewer that “Jogi Löw will be coach of FC Bayern in the summer” is “nonsense”.

Löw explains his decision: “There are various reasons: A, Bayern probably wouldn’t be interested in me as a coach, and I wouldn’t be interested in Bayern Munich either.” A position as successor to outgoing Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel is not attractive to him: “I was a coach for the national team here in Germany long enough, and I have always said that a coaching position in Germany is out of the question for me because I have been 17 years old “I’ve traveled through this republic for a long time, been to all the stadiums, know the clubs. That’s no motivation for me.”

The 64-year-old was considered among the candidates for the vacant position at Munich. Since leaving his position as national coach after the 2021 European Championships, Löw has been without a new job, but has repeatedly been the subject of speculation regarding vacant positions at top clubs, and Löw has also been traded in Turkey. However, all speculations ultimately turned out to be wrong.

Löw also doesn’t believe that Leverkusen’s successful coach But: “I believe that Xabi Alonso will stay in Leverkusen. He hasn’t been there for very long, he has shaped the team according to his ideas, they play extremely attractive football. You don’t like to leave a success story like that.”
