The case came to light after a report of stolen jewelry in WZC Meerspoort in Oudenaarde. The police found disturbing images of residents who were humiliated and abused on the smartphone of an 18-year-old job student. His older brother, permanently employed in the same center, was also arrested. The girlfriend worked as a job student in the Branding in Kortrijk, a facility for people with disabilities.
There are now investigations in multiple healthcare institutions. On Friday a fourth suspect will appear before the council chamber.
