João Félix to Chelsea: it’s done. The player is in London to sign

João Félix and Chelsea are betrothed. And if they aren’t yet, they soon will be. The Portuguese international is in fact in London to join the Blues immediately and at least until the end of the season.

According to reports from the Lusitanian sports newspaper A Bola, the player arrived yesterday in the English capital, where a six-month loan awaits him. The agreement between Atletico Madrid and Chelsea provides for an onerous operation of 11 million euros, which includes the payment of the player’s salary: five, six million.

At the basis of the divorce with the Madrid club where João Félix arrived in the summer of 2019 for 125 million from Benfica, the bad relationship with Diego Simeone, coach of the Colchoneros, who recently said about him: “When he resumes training well, when he finds the goalscoring touch we need, he will play. For now, his performance has worsened, so others are playing ”. His arrival could “facilitate” the renewal of the contract between Milan and Leao, another goal of the English club.
