Jhon Duran, who scored the winning goal in the derby in which Fenerbahçe defeated Beşiktaş 3-2 away in the 11th week of the Trendyol Super League, spoke to Fenerbahçe Television. The Colombian striker said that he was happy to return to the field after a long injury.
“IT WAS A DIFFICULT PROCESS, BUT I ALWAYS TRUSTED IN GOD’S PLAN”
Describing his injury period, Duran said, “It was a long process for me, I had to work hard to return in the best possible way. Every football player wants to benefit his team, but for me this period was long. Despite this, it went well. Now I can’t wait to reach my best form as soon as possible and help my team.”
Speaking about the criticisms made during his life, the striker said, “I am used to people making bad comments and making my situation worse than it is. However, I did not respond to any of them. I kept my calm, believed in God’s plan and focused only on my studies.”

Duran also specially emphasized the support given to him by Fenerbahçe President Sadettin Saran during his injury:
“Our president was with me throughout the whole process, always talked to me and gave me morale. Mr. Devin’s support was also very important. They really try to be with the players. They stayed in constant communication with me and had a great share in helping me get through this process as soon as possible.”

Speaking about the winning goal he scored in the Beşiktaş derby, the Colombian star said, “After returning from such a serious injury, it was very meaningful for me to score a goal in such a match. The joy of the goal was completely an expression of my emotions; it was an incredible feeling to be able to contribute to my team again after a long time.”
