Manuëla Kemp has finally said goodbye: many friends and family, including several celebrities, paid their last respects to her yesterday at the well-known Zorgvlied cemetery on the banks of the Amstel. Evert Santegoeds speculated about the presence of Jeroen Pauw, but he was also present.

Jeroen spotted

Jeroen has had a relationship with Manuëla for years, but always stays in Curaçao in the winter. Yet he simply flew back to say goodbye to his ex-lover, who was very important to him.

Camera crews from both RTL Boulevard and Shownieuws were stationed at the gate of Zorgvlied. They asked passing celebrities for a response. The reporter succeeded RTL Boulevard to spot Jeroen Pauw and talk to him, but that didn’t yield much.

‘Not good at’

TV expert Rob Goossens points out in the studio that Jeroen had a relationship with Manuëla for eight years. “We spoke to him briefly, but you will see: he had difficulty getting his words out.”

When Jeroen is asked to say something briefly about her, he answers: “Yes, that is not possible briefly. If you ask what Manuëla means to me, I can’t tell you briefly, so I’ll leave it for now. Sorry. Yeah, sorry, I’m just not very good at it today.”

Logically

Daphne Bunskoek, another ex of Jeroen, thinks it is understandable. “Yes, it makes sense that you don’t know what to say,” she responds in the studio.

Later in the evening, Patty Brard was at the desk in the competing show section, Shownieuws. She was also present at the funeral and was still emotional about this loss in the TV broadcast.
