Good news from Jeremy Clarkson (66): in The Sunday Times confirms the Top Gearpresenter that he is in remission. This week he revealed he had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer.
In The Sunday Times Clarkson now confirms that follow-up tests, which took place about two months ago, have shown that the cancer is gone. So the presenter is officially in remission.
“I am without a doubt the happiest man in the world,” he tells the newspaper. “It was an aggressive cancer. It could have spread, it could have affected the pancreas, it could have gone anywhere, and that would have caused problems.”
In a video on social media, Clarkson calls on men to be tested for prostate cancer early. “Not only am I not dead, I’m doing fine,” says a video message on Instagram. “That is thanks to the fact that I got tested. 10,000 to 12,000 men die every year in the US from prostate cancer,” it continues. “Don’t be one of them. Get tested.”
Early stage
Earlier this week, the TV face spoke in the final episode of the current season Clarkson’s Farm to his farm colleagues Charlie Ireland and Kaleb Cooper that he had received a disturbing diagnosis. “I have cancer,” it sounded.
“I had a routine examination, then I had to go back for a biopsy. Fortunately it is in an early stage, but it is definitely cancer and also an aggressive form. I will receive treatment and also have to undergo surgery, I am not looking forward to that.”
The recordings of Clarkson’s Farm took place between the end of 2024 and mid-2025. He said he was diagnosed in May 2025. Part of his prostate has now also been surgically removed. But a year after the disturbing diagnosis, things are looking good again for the Top Gear-presenter.
