On Monday, Finland released its team in the Tallinn World Cup.

On Wednesday, free sprints will compete in Tallinn on Wednesday. Finnish women are involved Jasmmi Joensuu, Jasmin, Anni Lindroos, Katri Lylynperä, Kerttu Niskanen and Amanda island.

Men’s race skiing Emil Liekari, Wiljam Mattila, Niilo Moilanen, Joni Mäki, Verneri Suhonen and Lauri Vuorinen.

Of the Finns, the gaze focuses especially on Joensuu, which is firmly attached to the sprint cup victory. Joensuu leads the sprinting cup with 148 points difference in Sweden Jonna to Sundling. There are only two sprints left in the World Cup: Tallinn and Lahti.

Even if Sundling would win the qualifiers of both sprints and the race itself, Joensuu would have to win only 83 points. Sprint qualifying points will be awarded to the ten fastest. If Joensuu was not at the top of the ten qualifiers for the rest of the season, the investment should be among the top 20 in the batch phase.

The task is not impossible at all, as Joensuu has been in the World Cup sprints seven times this season in the top ten. The best investment is 2 and weakest 13th.

There is no separate prize money for the Sprint Cup, but athletes’ equipment and sponsorship agreements promise plump bonuses on the title.

The target of tens of tons

Kerttu Niskanen, on the other hand, is fourth in the overall cup and is sure to reach more points from the Tallinn race. It would be possible for Niskanen to rise at least third in Norway in the overall situation Astrid Slind.

The difference between the duo in the overall cup is only five points. There is a big financial motivator for improving the investment, as rising third would mean about EUR 13,500 for Niskanen.

The World Cup overall cup gets € 36,400, while Nelonen is paid EUR 22,900.

Teams for the weekend for the Lahti World Cup will be released on Tuesday.
