Jari Sillanpää is upset about his canceled Christmas concerts.
Iltalehti reported today that concert venues in at least five cities are considering Jari Sillanpään cancellation of Christmas concerts. Three Christmas concerts have been canceled so far.
Iltalehti reached Sillanpää to comment on the cancellations. The singer says that the concert cancellations are from his side in the investigation.
Sillanpää points out that in the fall of 2022, he will give a concert to sold-out audiences in Turku, Lappeenranta and Hämeenlinna as well. The Christmas concerts in all three cities have been canceled this year.
– The situation hasn’t changed at all since last fall, the documentary only woke up the shouters to the matter again, says Sillanpää, referring to the one that appeared in the fall Silt– documentary series.
Sillanpää expresses his regret both on behalf of those who bought the ticket and his own team.

Three canceled, five considering
Iltalehti’s investigation shows that concert venues in Helsinki, Porvoo, Hyvinkää and Mikkeli are discussing the possible cancellation of concerts. Pori has also previously announced that they are considering canceling the concert.

The reason for the cancellations is the singer’s criminal convictions, which came to light this fall Siltwith the documentary. Sillanpää has received criminal convictions for drunk driving, drug offenses and spreading an image offensive to sexual immorality.
