Jari-Matti Latvala was already at a good pace in the test special test test test of the Finnish World Championship.
Latvala, who is in charge of the Toyota team manager, competes Janni Hussin With the Finnish World Championship in the WRC2 class. Latvala got off properly on Thursday morning with a Ruuhimäki test clip, and the clock also liked it.
Latvala was the top driver in the first time and hit, among other things Oliver Solberghas a stunning victory below from the previous World Rally Rally Estonia. Solberg returned to Toyota’s Rally2 car in Jyväskylä.
– The time for the test clip was a positive surprise. I quickly talked to Oliver and said it was difficult to drive the first bets after a Rally1 car. He said he couldn’t get the rhythm properly, Latvala told Iltalehti.
– After the first bet, I got a decent adrenaline rush into the body – the hands just shook. Undeniably, there is a lot to expect to be able to drive this rally.
“Oh good creator!”
Latvala also drove through the test clip for the second time, but then he was sitting next to him as a VIP-riding media person Chord borg. According to Latvala, Borg was “pretty insane”.
– When we set off in the first bend, the chord became such adventure words that I knew he was exciting. I tried to tell him that now there was a junction and then a couple of jumps. But a couple of times he said oh a good creator!
– After all, Ruuhimäki is one of the finest places to get aboard when we can jump properly. Finally, he said that he would be among the top three in the matters he had experienced, Latvala said.
A year ago, Latvala also drove in the Series of Central Finland in the WRC2 class and then took a handsome second after Solberg. Solberg is again a clear favorite in “Jyskälä”, but Latvala is probably the second favorite of the race.
Latvala’s number one goal is to get to the finish, but the Finnish bunch is not going to be unnecessarily spared.
– I try to go well and at the pace I can and can. I avoid taking crazy risks. If tomorrow you feel the same as today with a test clip, let’s see what it is enough.
– I know there are boys here who are starting to squeeze seriously. Let’s see what this is enough among young men, Latvala laughed.
“A top -notch co -operator”
Latvala and Hussi are now competing for the eighth time together. The pair of teams’ joint sky started last summer at the Lahti Historic Rally and this year they have competed together in the Historic European Championship.
Latvala has nothing but good to say about Huss, who started his charterer until three years ago.
– Janni did the preparation for this race really well. I have noticed that if there are long bends that I have tried to get a lot of things to the note, they are more difficult. I have tried to get simpler notes for them.
– I tried the note myself a few weeks ago and noticed that it was really difficult – especially when the head can’t be raised much. I raise Jann’s hat that he has really developed a lot this year alone. Janni is starting to be a really top -notch co -driver, Latvala underlined.
The race started promisingly when Latvala drove the third fastest time in the opening EK.
