Congressman Pekka Haaviston (vihr) the opening party of the presidential election campaign is celebrated today in Helsinki.
Haavisto, who is running for president in the elections to be held in early 2024 through the electoral association, has gained numerous public figures in his support group.
One of the most famous supporters is Jare Tiihonenwho arrived at the opening party.
– I feel that Pekka Haavisto is very strong in terms of foreign policy. I appreciate the good heart and warmth with which he works. In addition, I like Peka’s world of values and feel that he is the right person to unite Finland in these times, Tiihonen commented to Iltalehte.
Tiihonen’s name is also included in Haavisto’s campaign on the website can be found in the name list of the citizens’ delegation.
According to the website, Pekka Haavisto’s citizens’ delegation “consists of respected Finns who broadly represent the many walks of life, skills and trends of our society”.

The citizens’ delegation includes 108 people. In addition to Tiihonen, there will be a musician, among others Anssi Kelaa dancer Jorma Uotinen and actor Martti Suosalo.
The chairman of the citizens’ delegation is a former parliament member of the coalition Jaana Pelkonen and the honorary chairman is an ex-minister of RKP Elisabeth Rehn.
According to Pelkonen, Finland “needs a moderate and conciliatory interlocutor”.
– We need a mediator for the kingdom and the whole world. Finland has been an example before in matters of equality and diplomacy, Pelkonen said at the opening ceremony.
Tiihonen ended his successful rap career as Cheek in 2018. Since then, he has largely withdrawn from the limelight.
Tiihonen’s support in the 2012 presidential election Sauli Niinistö. At the time, Haavisto was Niinistö’s counter-candidate in the second round of the elections.
