UThe new year is about to begin and we are very ready with the January events not to be missed. Yes, because this month is not just a calendar passage, but also an emotional threshold. The time for holidays, longer breaks, returns and personal assessments increasingly coincides with a widespread need to slow down and restore order, not only in diaries but also in body and mind. It is in this suspended space that the journey changes meaning. It is no longer just an escape or a reward, but becomes a tool for rebalancing, an opportunity to find a more human rhythm. In short, self-care.
Care is a short word, but with a broad and layered meaning. It encompasses listening, presence, responsibility, transformation. A concept that in recent years has also taken on a central role in the way of travelling, as demonstrated by the success of cultural and planning initiatives that put wellbeing at the center not as a luxury, but as a daily practice. In this sense it is significant that Fiuggia city symbol of Italian spa culture, hosted this year TEDxFrosinone dedicated to the theme of care, bringing together different voices to reflect on what it means today to take care of oneself, others and the environment.
Among the supporters of the event, Ambassadors Place Hotelwhich has long been pursuing a vision of wellness understood as a conscious and active path, summarized in the manifesto Make Your Wellness. A philosophy that intercepts a profound change: well-being is no longer something you receive, but something that is built, through choices, daily gestures and contexts that facilitate listening and presence.
January events to help us restart

This new idea of care is also increasingly clearly reflected in travel proposals and experiences related to free time, especially in the winter months, when the need to slow down and put things back in order becomes more urgent. It is no coincidence that today yoga retreats, mindfulness practices, sporting events experienced as regenerative rituals and experiential formats that invite active participation, rather than consumption, are multiplying.
Travel thus becomes a space for experimentation. You run to regain concentration, you practice yoga to reconnect with your body, you meditate in the snow to train your presence, you play to stimulate collaboration and intuition. Hotels and destinations are transformed into real places of experience place in which movement, nature and awareness coexist. It is along this trajectory that the events we will talk about are inserted: from alpine yoga experiences to guided meditations in the mountains, from sports proposals that end the year with energy to new immersive formats that transform the stay into an act of participation. Different appointments, but linked by a common thread: the idea that taking care of oneself is not a parenthesis, but rather a more conscious way of experiencing time and travel.
Between snow-capped peaks and deep silences, the Aurina Valley becomes the ideal place to slow down and reconnect with yourself. Born here Toul Yogathe alpine yoga program hosted by OLM Nature Escapedesign aparthotel in Caminata di Tures awarded as Hotel of the Year 2026 in South Tyrol for its sustainable vision and harmonious integration with the landscape. Mindful.Latemar Winter Edition – From 20 January in Val d’Ega, Obereggen (BZ)
In winter, when the snow simplifies the landscape and the silence becomes more intense, the mountain transforms into an ideal space for the practice of mindfulness. It was born like this Mindful.Latemar Winter Editionthe guided meditation experience in the snow created by Thomas Bernagozzipsychologist and certified mindfulness trainer, in the heart of the Dolomites. The sessions take place outdoors, in a panoramic point near the mountain station of the chairlift Oberholzwhere the gaze opens to 360 degrees and the environment naturally encourages concentration on the “here and now”.
The project is the winter evolution of Mindful.Latemarthe first mindfulness path in the Alps, born in Val d’Ega after the Vaia storm in 2018. During the meetings, the snow-covered nature becomes an ally of well-being: the cold stimulates presence, the quiet reduces stress and the guided techniques help to re-establish deep contact with body and mind. Through meditations and mindfulness practices, participants learn to calm thoughts, find centering and create a new inner balance, even in unconventional conditions.
Sessions are held at 10:00 in Italian And at 1.30 pm in Germanwith small groups to guarantee an intimate and guided experience.
