Jan Slagter is annoyed by Alexander Klöpping: ‘Very woke’

Jan Slagter finds today’s woke movement ‘annoying’ and cites Alexander Klöpping as an example. “He said, ‘Yes! You must shut up. You must listen!’”

It has been almost three months since Jan Slagter and Alexander Klöpping collided incredibly with each other at Eva Jinek’s talk show table. The Omroep MAX boss kept a somewhat conservative one there rantfor example about the fact that ‘good evening people’ is now being announced instead of ‘good evening, ladies and gentlemen’.

Conservative drag queen

Alexander thinks that Jan can also listen a little better to the minorities in our country, and that led to a talk show clash. The 36-year-old former Blendle boss was very spicy: “It feels so f * cking outdated and boring everything you say.”

It seems Jan just doesn’t listen well enough to what’s going on among minorities, Alexander snorted. But the broadcasting boss found all those accusations unjustified: “Here is someone who is a drag queen has been to RTL. I haven’t seen you do that yet!”

Jan lashes out

Jan now looks in de Volkskrant back to this encounter. “I often find the woke supporters extremist. Excluding people, saying ‘I don’t talk to you anymore’, I think that’s dangerous. It is a small group that wants to impose its opinion on the silent majority.”

He continues: “That small group has managed to say ‘good morning travelers’ on the trains, instead of ‘good morning ladies and gentlemen’. I think that is too crazy for words. At Jinek I recently had four against me, I was told to keep my mouth shut.”

‘Shut up!’

So one of those four is Alexander. Or, as Jan calls him: “What’s the name of that boy, the one from ICT.”

So Alexander. “Yes! ‘You must shut up. You must listen.’ Just look it back. He thinks I shouldn’t participate anymore. While the older ones, if they really wanted to, could wield much more power. Every two minutes, an over-50s is added to the Netherlands.”

‘Really?’ asks the Volkskrant. Jan: “I always say that at lectures. Whether it’s true, I don’t know. But it sounds funny, right? It’s about true, I think.”

Staphorst female

Finally, Jan also hands out an ugly sneer to BNNVARA boss Suzanne Kunzeler, whom he has already demolished in the media. He now says: “Staphorster female, that’s what I call her. I know her from when she was still a network manager at NPO 3 and regularly walked around swearing and ranting.”

He concludes: “You can have that temperament from me, but after that DWDD story she acted very pious on television at Nieuwsuur, which is why I started about that bun. Then at Nieuwsuur I thought: Miss, now you’re going too far. She stabbed Frans Klein in his back there, and I really, really (…) thought that was not possible.”
