Jan (90) from Assen rescues a boy from a pond and may meet him after 70 years: ‘If I had not been there, he would not have survived’

The circle is complete. At least, almost for ninety-year-old Jan de Maar from Assen. More than seventy years ago he saved a toddler from a pond. All his life he wondered what became of the little boy. Last year, the Assen resident started looking for answers, possibly with success.
