The dispute between Trump, the White House and Jack White goes into the next round. Now white is becoming clearer
Jack White criticized the White House after he was described there as a “detached loser”. This was preceded by White’s criticism of Donald Trump and his taste in the Oval Office.
Recommendations of the editorial team
The musician had left Instagram over a photo at the beginning of the week that Trump shows at the meeting with the Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj. The former front man of the White Stripes commented on the facility in the president’s office after the renovation as “disgusting” and the many golden ornaments as “showy, gilded and kitsch”. White also wrote: “Trump is an embarrassment for American history.” He described Selenskyj as “a real leader of a nation in a black suit”.
White referred to the following photo of the two presidents:
White-house-PR counters and accuses Jack White disrespectful
The reaction was not long in coming. Steven Cheung, Communication Director of the White House, told “Daily Beast” on Tuesday (August 19): “Jack White is a detention loser who posts irrelevant garbage on social media because his career has stalled.” Cheung added: “It is obvious that he only pretends to be a real artist. Because he does not appreciate the splendor and importance of the Oval Office in the ‘House of the People’ and openly shows disrespect.”
Jack White answers and becomes even clearer
On Wednesday (August 20), White reacted via Instagram to the hostility and called Cheung a “professional liar”. At the same time, he accused the Weißen-Haus-PR to deal with troubles, while in his opinion urgent issues would be ignored-such as “Trump’s connections to the Epstein files”, “his ICE Gestapo tactics” or “the dying children in Sudan, Gaza and in the Democratic Republic of Congo”.
In his statement, White continued to write: “How petty, pitiful and thin -skinned can this government still be? ‘ … Trump pretends to be a person.
He shared several photos from Trump. Among other things with shiny gold sneakers, with Goya food or even in front of shelves full of “Make America Great Again” caps.

Earlier criticism and legal disputes
White’s criticism is part of a series of public statements by the musician on Trump. In 2024, together with MEG White, he sued the ex-president’s campaign team for the unauthorized use of the song “Seven Nation Army” in a campaign video. He also used song texts several times at concerts to attack Trump and his policy.
