The first North America section of Jack White’s “No Name” tour is played. The master is currently in Japan. Today he can be found in the Gorilla Hall in Osaka.
At his last US show in Boston on February 18, he used the song “Corporation” from the third album Boarding House Reach (2018), which he rarely played on tours, for a special performance. A “Gorilla” also plays a role there.
While “Corporation” is already created as a bitter indictment against the unchecked US capitalism (“I’m Gonna Buy Up All the Empty Lots and Make One Giant Farm-Who’s with me?”), Sharpen White in Boston the message of his song. He went to Donald Trump and Elon Musk head -on.
Jack White with “Corporation”:
U.S. media reacted to the attack with some delay after the video of the Boston version of “Corporation” gone viral.
After the original line “I was Thinking about Becoming to Oligarch, who’s with me?” White began with a stanza that works on Elon Musk’s dodgy career.
“Never do military service for a day”
White new freestyle lines are roughly translated: “I have thought about taking government subsidies and founding my own electric car company. Who is on my side? I think about not being chosen. Never to hold a public office. Never do military service for a day. But somehow to have power to control parts of the US government. Who is on my side? “
And further: “I assume that I will not be properly checked by the Supreme Court or Congress and just do whatever I want.” Final in this Suada, President Trump also gets his fat away: “Because an inflated asshole, an orange gorilla who has failed in every shop he has ever run, wants to have me as a partner for his golf car!”
Two dozens of appointments for political educational work
Last autumn, White had sued Trump campaign team because they had undergone the WHITE Stripes “Seven Nation Army” election campaign video. After Trump won the election in early November 2024, the case had been unnecessary and White pulled the lawsuit back.
It will be interesting to see if he will expand his live accumulation when the second “leg” of the “No Name” tour continues on April 3. in St. Louis. Until May 24th in Troutdale, Oregon he remained a good two dozens of dates for political educational work.
