Jaakko Parkkali tells about the idea behind his roller skating videos.

The actively social following has hardly missed the attention-grabbing roller skating videos of tube player Jaakko Parkkal.

Immediately after UMK, the tube player started shooting videos on his social media where he skates without a shirt and wearing sunglasses to the winning song of the competition, performed by Linda Lampenius and Pete Parkkonen A flamethrower to the beat.

The videos have quickly gained great popularity on social media and the prank has even received international attention.

Parkkali says at the Tubecon Awards gala that the video idea was born almost by accident, when she made a playful social media video at home in connection with UMK. After returning from the gym, he noticed that the video in question had collected a lot of views on social media.

Inspired by this, he decided to make a new video the next day, and gradually the concept began to develop into its own phenomenon.

– Then oils came along at some point and baby oils and other things. It just started by accident actually, he says.

Parkkali was surprised by the popularity of social media videos.

– I never would have thought that this has taken so many rounds. It came as a complete surprise.

When asked how many bottles of baby oil he has consumed since starting to shoot videos, Parkkali answers with a laugh:

– They say at least 15 bottles.
