Actor Jaakko Ohtonen36, lives in exciting times. He was chosen for a significant role in Finnish terms, Mel Gibson’s To a Hollywood movie to play the lead role as Jesus. Ohtonen is acting The Resurrection of the Christ in the film, which is a sequel to 2004 The Passion of the Christ– for a hit movie.
Helsingin Sanomat has interviewed Ohto in Rome, where he moved his wife in the summer Alma Hätönen with. The interview talks about different versions of Jesus, and it mentions Via Crucis interpreted Jesus in the play Tomi Alatalowhom Ohtonen knew well since his student days.
Alatalo died of an illness in September, and Ohtonen gets moved when talking about him.
– If Tomi had still been here with us, I could certainly talk a lot about Jesus, he says to HS, and Hätönen brings him a piece of paper.
According to the story, Ohtonen can’t say much about the role itself because of his non-disclosure agreement, not even what it’s like to work with the famous Mel Gibson.
