Former top star Didier Drogba failed in the first round of the election for president of the Ivory Coast Football Association.
The 44-year-old received just 21 of the votes cast, well behind his rivals Idriss Diallo (59 votes) and Sory Diabate (50 votes).
Since no participant received the absolute majority of votes (66), there is a runoff between Diallo and Diabate. Even before the election, Drogba was criticized for not paying enough attention to the problems of local football.
