ROma, 24 Jul. – In the sparkling heart of the Costa Smeralda, between elegance, tradition and sport, the fifth edition of Italy Polo Challenge – Porto Cervo, a prominent stage of the circuit promoted by the Italian Equestrian Sports Federation (FISE) successfully ended.
The event united adrenaline and equestrian culture, consolidating the role of the pole as a growing discipline on the national sports scene. Great protagonist was the “Arena Polo” formatadopted in all the stages of the circuit: a dynamic and spectacular formula, with three against three against three played on grass fields or sand, designed to make the pole more accessible and engaging. The reduced field and the intensity of the game allow spectators to live every action up close, favoring understanding and passion for this sport traditionally considered of elite. The key element of the development strategy promoted by FISE is also the new “growth circuit”, a project dedicated to the formation of the new generations of players. Through a structured path that also includes the Pony Pole, young people are introduced to the discipline with an educational approach, progressive and oriented towards the enhancement of the horse-cavaliere combination. The project aims to build a nursery of talents, while strengthening the cultural and technique base of the Italian pole.
On a sporting level, The Porto Cervo stage confirmed the domain of the US Polo Assn., which repeated the success of last season by winning the first place again. The performance of the Union/Ecoservice team, which imposed itself in the final for third place with a surprising performance, also brilliant, giving enthusiasm and pride to local fans. With its mixture of tradition, entertainment and innovation, Italy Polo Challenge is confirmed as the ideal platform to grow the pole in Italy. A project that looks to the future and involves young and more passionate, thanks to the dynamism of the Arena Polo and the inclusive vision of the growth circuit.
