The “Derby d’Italia” in Serie A went to Juventus Turin. The record champion beat 1-0 (0-0) on Sunday evening (February 16, 2025) and improved to fourth place.
Francisco Conceicao provided the decision (74th) after a remarkable preparatory work by winter access Randal Kolo Muani. Inter (54 points) missed the chance to jump to the top of the table after the SSC Naples (56) played 2: 2 (1: 1) on Saturday.
Rome wins without Hummels
AS Rome continued its catch -up with Mats Hummels on the bench. The club from the capital won 1-0 (1-0) at Parma Calcio, but as a ninth, has a decent behind the international places. Hummels was not used in Parma.
The Argentine Matias Soule (33rd) scored the only goal for Rome that played for a long time: Parmas Giovanni Leoni (31st) had seen red shortly before the goal. However, at Leoni’s foul, the referee initially decided on penalty for Rome and yellow for the Parma defender. He revised these decisions in the view of the video images. Leoni had to get off the square, instead of penalty there was free kick. Soule didn’t care: he converted the due free kick to victory.
Another setback for Gosens
National player Robin Gosens suffered another setback with AC Florence. The 0: 2 (0: 1) in their own stadium against promoted Como 1907 was the second defeat in a row. The Fiorentina is still in sixth place, but the AC Milan and FC Bologna only have one point behind – and one game less.
