The Cybertruck’s Italian alter-ego exists in the form of Italdesign Quintessenceshown at CES in Las Vegas with a revolutionized propulsion system compared to the Pebble Beach 2024 debut. The futuristic features of the pick-up bodywork hide an additional electric motor to make up the system Elaphe Quad-Motor In-Wheelfor significantly increased power compared to the previous three-engine configuration. The values declared by Quintessere speak of 910 kW/1237 hp in totalfor a 0-100 km/h sprint completed in 2.2 seconds. At least momentarily, we won’t see the Quintessential pickup inside a dealership. In fact, it is destined to remain a concept/banner of Italdesign’s technical and stylistic capabilities, looking for partners with which to start new commercial adventures.

THE’Italdesign Quintessential exhibited in Las Vegas it boasts 910 kW of power, compared to the 777 of the version shown at Pebble Beach. THE’upgrades it is the result of the agreement with the Slovenian company Elaphespecialist in the development of zero-emission propulsion units. The most recent one is known as Sonic 1an electric motor integral with the wheels with a diameter of 21 inches, capable of adapting to rims up to 24 inches. The system Elaphe Quad-Motor In-Wheel of the Quintessence foresees four, for an overall power that it would potentially be able to reach 2 megawatts: 500 kW per unit and 6,000 Nm of overall torque, given the scalability of Elaphe motors. The basic configuration includes two 200 kW units at the front and two 255 kW units at the rear. The system is powered by an 800 Volt battery pack 150 kWhFor 750km of maximum autonomy. According to what was declared by the manufacturer, the management electronics have been calibrated to offer maximum dynamism without sacrificing control, all combined with a very efficient energy regeneration system.
