“Kommersant”: the government is developing a state standard for a “smart” high-rise building with robots

The smart home standard project includes a face and license plate recognition system, as well as control of housing and communal services. The potential market for such devices for electronics manufacturers is estimated at 150 billion rubles.

The government, together with developers and IT companies, is developing a state standard for a “smart” apartment building, the project contains a minimum list of services that will make it possible to call a house and an apartment “smart”. About it informs the Kommersant newspaper with reference to the letter of the deputy head of the Ministry of Digital Development Andrey Zarenin to representatives of 40 Russian IT companies.

Among the services are a platform for monitoring all services, a system for recognizing faces and car numbers, and systems for monitoring housing and communal services infrastructure. The expanded package of “smart” solutions will include a robot concierge, a delivery robot, a cleaning robot and other digital employees, the newspaper specifies.

According to the interlocutor of the newspaper, who is familiar with the preparation of the project, the government wants to bring the “zoo of services” to a common denominator: “There is no unambiguous understanding of which house is really “smart”. And the primary task is to approve common standards for the organization of intelligent systems,” he noted and added that in an ideal scenario, all developers and IT companies will use common data exchange protocols and similar solutions, which will allow organizing a single digital environment.

The source of the publication also noted that the government estimated the potential market for “smart” devices for apartments and houses for domestic electronics manufacturers at 150 billion rubles.
