The iconic photo of Tigre, starring the elegant silhouette of its rowing clubs and the boats going and coming along the Luján River, for me it is much more than a postcard; It brings me the memories of my childhood. It is the world where I criticize me.

From a very young age, rowing is part of my life. My first years passed up the wooden boats, and all my memories have that unmistakable mud smell. The row was the ideal plan for Saturdays and Sundays. Biguaes, Cartias, Nets, Garzas and some boats that crossed the rivers, that was the daily one.

This personal connection with the rowing is the one that promoted me, together with Luciano Zdrojewski, to make “row”, a film that immerses itself in the life and legacy of these institutions They are much more than simple sports clubs.

Through 4 stories, “Remar” takes us between the past and present of the rowing clubs and their people. We see Victor, the last carpenter of wooden boats; touring the sheds and carpentry in their attempt to save a boat. We live the unbeatable spirit of Bernardo, Ángel and Miguel, octogenarian champions united by years of rowing.

We also listen to clubs in the voice of two of its presidents as Félix Fernández Madero and Florencia Colman, who share the dedication involved in managing these institutions With so much history but also with so much change.

We are excited remembering the legacy of Our Alberto Demiddi Olympic Gloria, Through the story of Osvaldo and Martín Bonini, father and son, both rowers and coaches of high international competition.

These stories are joined by a very special file, which an angel sent us: A box full of VHS with programs of the 80s and 90s of Patricio Louzao, a row expert journalist which issued its weekly program on a zonal cable channel.

“Remar” is a recognition of cultural and sports heritage representing the tiger rowing clubs. And an opportunity to appreciate the silent dedication of those who keep it alive.

For me, this film is a way to share that world that I carry, that little universe that allows you to connect with the river and its people. And to unite my two passions: oar and cinema.

We are waiting for you next Thursday, May 22 at 7:45 p.m. in the Leonardo Favio room of the beloved Gaumont cinema to celebrate the premiere of “Remar”, the first film that carries this exciting universe to the big screen of Buenos Aires.

Come to see Argentine cinema and support our clubs and athletes.
