In the AD BZV Café TV columnist Angela de Jong and presenter Manuel Venderbos discuss the latest developments in the foreign edition of Farmer Wants a Woman with a permanent panel. AD colleague Maxime Segers will join us in the last edition of this season.
Both Claudia and Paul, affectionately known as ‘Clautje’ and ‘Paultje’, were smiling from ear to ear throughout the episode. The lovebirds have completely found each other and where Claudia still felt like she was ‘surviving’ until last year, Paul brought light back into her life. Things also seemed completely fine between Richard and Robin. Yes, there were some doubts about the mutual differences, but letting each other go? That wasn’t possible. “Opposites attract each other,” notes Angela de Jong.
The surprise was even greater when farmer Piet arrived without Anke. It had come to nothing, he told Yvon Jaspers. Later, Anke also joined, who revealed that she had discovered a lump in her breast and was therefore anything but concerned with her love life. Yet the panel sees more than just a friendship between the two. “Piet’s hand on her leg, that kiss, there’s really something going on there.”
The big question on the panel’s mind: how would Haico and Jasmijn fare after their lousy city trip, where Jasmijn had almost dropped out? That soon became clear: a relationship was not an option. The surprise was great when Ellen, the woman who had sent Haico home earlier, showed up at the reunion. And that created euphoria among the panel. “That woman should be commended for overcoming her wounded ego in such a way,” Angela de Jong concludes.
