Arsenal and Liverpool collided badly in Saturday’s round of the Premier League.

League leader Arsenal lost to Aston Villa 1-2 at the beginning of the afternoon. The solution came dramatically in extra time, when Emiliano Buendia shot the ball into the net in the 95th minute. The situation was preceded by a huge flash in the penalty area.

In the last match of the round, Liverpool had to settle for the points distribution as a guest of Leeds. Liverpool still led the match in the 73rd minute 2–0, but collapsed at the end to a 3–3 draw.

Leeds’ last goal was scored by Japanese Ao Tanaka after a corner kick. There were 96 minutes on the game clock at that time.

After Arsenal’s defeat, Manchester City and Chelsea were offered a seam to catch the Gunners in the standings. City succeeded by beating Sunderland 3–0, but Chelsea were held to a 0–0 draw away from Bournemouth.

Arsenal’s league lead has now shrunk to two points. City lurks in second place.
