A quarter of Belgian young people share personal things that they do not dare to tell their parents or friends with an AI chatbot. This is evident from new research by iVOX. “I often hear it from people at school: they really use the AI chatbot as a kind of personal therapist to express their insecurities,” says 16-year-old Siebe. His dad, professor Steven Van Belleghem (49), wrote a book about it. “As a parent, you have to learn to have conversations about AI with your child.”
