Members of the Islamic State (ISIS, a terrorist organization banned in Russia) attacked a prison in the Syrian province of Hasakah and tried to free the militants held there, writes Reuters with reference to the statement of the Kurdish formations “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF). About the attack on the prison also reported Syrian state agency SANA with reference to its correspondent.

According to him, two cars filled with explosives exploded at the entrance to the prison, where terrorists who acted on the side of ISIS are kept. After the explosions, a shootout ensued between the attackers and the prison guards.
