Why does RTL 4 dump the well -known talk show titles Beau, Humberto and Renze for such a generic name as RTL Tonight? “They are terrified that Renze Klamer suddenly wants 1.5 million euros.”
It is quite large TV news: RTL 4 will stop after the summer with the individual talk shows Beau, Humberto and Renze to make way for the shared RTL Tonight program. In other words: the TV channel wants to emphasize these talk show hosts and use more a generic RTL Boulevard model, where everyone merges into the big whole.
1.5 million euros
For Beau van Erven Dorens and Humberto Tan it doesn’t matter that much – they are already running anywhere – but for Renze Klamer this is of course not good news. The presenter was well on his way to becoming the face of the late evening of RTL 4, but is now more or less told that he too is interchangeable.
Albert Verlinde thinks his good comrade Peter van der Vorst, the TV boss of RTL, was a bit scared. Growing power
Was Peter afraid that Renze would take his growing power to the salary negotiations? Painfully enough, it all turns out to be Renze’s back to be cup -headed – RTL thinks he is that important. “I still have to go to the table with that producer and then we go and see: what kind of ideas do you have and what do I think about? But the objective from RTL is also still making a current affairs program.”
Even more painful: Renze doesn’t even know if his team can come along. “We have a very nice team at the moment with which we are making a very nice show.
