Hamburger SV is one of the largest clubs in Germany. In the New sticker on T-Online you will find all the important messages about the “red pants”.

The Berlin second division Hertha BSC could get prominent reinforcements for sporting leadership in summer. According to the matching reports from “Kicker” and “Tagesspiegel”, the club has contacted Jonas Boldt (43) – the former sports director of Hamburger SV. There is already a first meeting that another is planned.

Boldt was responsible for the HSV from 2019 to 2024. At first there were rumors that he could either replace Benjamin Weber (sports director) or Andreas Neuendorf (director of young people and professional sectors). However, both had only extended their contracts until 2027 in autumn.

Instead, a different personnel focus on the focus: Managing Director Thomas E. Herrich (60). Its contract was extended last year – but without specifying at runtime. Herrich has been part of Hertha leadership for more than ten years and has been managing director since 2022.

After a season to forget, in which Hertha missed the goal again significantly, there would be no surprise. Jonas Boldt is considered open to new tasks – he was also in discussion at Schalke 04.

After the bitter 2: 4 against Eintracht Braunschweig, the HSV got away with a blue eye. Because the direct competition also hits, the Hamburgers are still leaders and, after the 29th matchday, have five points ahead of the relegation place 3. A look at the rest of the schedule:

On Saturday, the team wants to make amends to make amends to the away game at Schalke (matchday 30). In the recent past, the “concise” have been one of the favorite opponents of the HSV: the “red pants” have been undefeated for six competitive games and have scored 14 out of 18 possible points.

The HSV also has a positive balance against Karlsruhe, opponent on matchday 31. Of the previous eleven second division, six went to the Hamburgers, three ended in a draw, only twice won the KSC.

The second division record against Darmstadt, on the other hand, is balanced, with three wins, three defeats and five draws. Curious: All three victories brought the HSV away – and on the 32nd matchday the Hamburgers are once again guests at the Böllenfall goal.

The HSV also comes to a balanced balance against SSV Ulm. The first leg in December in Ulm ended 1-1. Before that, both teams only met in the 1999/2000 Bundesliga season when everyone was able to win 2-1 away.

There is still the season finale against Greuther Fürth: the “clover leaves” of the previous eleven second division tales only won one, four ended. The HSV, on the other hand, won six victories – most recently there was the impressive 5-0 in the Volkspark shortly before Christmas.

The HSV must first do without a performance by the carrier Miro Muheim. As the club announced on Friday, Muheim suffered a muscle fiber tear. The 28-year-old will miss the next games.

The club wrote on the news platform X: “Unfortunately, not today: Miro #muheim. Our number 28 is initially with a torn muscle fiber in the calf. Get well soon, Miro!”

Jean-Luc Dompé is indispensable for the HSV: with eight goals and ten templates, the Frenchman has a large part in the leadership of Hamburg. Only Davie Selke is involved in even more goals. The “Enfant Terrible” is at the height of his career at the age of 29 – and that is also due to his shoes.

Because a few months ago it was not round for the French. Under coach Steffen Baumgart, he could hardly play his strengths and only came to four scorer points by the end of November 2024. According to the “Sportbild”, his place at the HSV literally hung on a thread: Jean-Luc Dompé apparently prefers to train in soccer shoes with open lace bands. Baumgart couldn’t do anything and forbade it to the winger. He is said to have reacted off.
