Antoinette de Jong came to 4.00.90. That was the second time. The European all-round champion thus took time back from Japan and is third behind Takagi and Schouten in the standings after two distances.

Merel Conijn rode at her first World Allround Championship 4.03.00. That was good for the sixth time.

500 meters

Takagi had previously won the 500 meters in 38.31. She was much faster than Antoinette de Jong and Irene Schouten. De Jong, the reigning European all-round champion, came to a time of 38.81. She was the best Dutch in fifth place. Schouten, a three-time Olympic champion, finished in a personal best of 39.24.
