“It seems that the victim was violently killed,” the Limburg prosecutor said. “It concerns a 45-year-old man from the Netherlands who lived in Maaseik. A 36-year-old suspect has also been arrested and is currently being questioned.”
The investigation is being conducted by the local police of the Maasland zone and the Federal Judicial Police. The exact circumstances of the death are still under investigation.
