The investigation into the possible transgressive behavior of former technical director Marc Overmars at Ajax has been completed. The Sports Jurisdiction Institute said this.
The Institute thus confirms the reporting of the TV program Shownieuws about this. A decision will be made by the disciplinary committee within a few weeks. Director Henk van Aller: “The prosecutor and his team of investigators have collected all the facts. The account of facts has been submitted with a report to the disciplinary committee, which will soon make a decision.”
Overmars (50) left Ajax in February last year after several reports of inappropriate behavior towards female staff at the club. For example, he allegedly sent photos of his genitals to women. Barely a month and a half after his departure, Overmars joined the Belgian club Royal Antwerp FC.
The decision of the disciplinary committee will be distributed in writing. Overmars can then appeal.
