How do we make Flanders VeloSafe together? That is the question that HLN wants to answer this week together with all cyclists and motorists in the largest bicycle survey ever. Sofie De Ridder was 12 when she was hit by a truck on her bicycle. On the last day of the school year, a wonderful holiday and a whole life ahead. Her mom Ann testifies. “For weeks I thought I was in a television game, I thought ‘they are testing me to see how a human reacts when they lose their child’. It felt so unreal.”
