Success coach changes to Saudi Arabia

A few days after the debacle in the final of the Champions League, Simone Inzaghi begins his new task. The move to Saudi Arabia is perfect, the start could not be more difficult.
A few days after the bitter end with Inter Milan in the Champions League and the 0: 5 defeat against PSG, Simone Inzaghi has found a new club-and it is not in Europe. The Italian takes over the Saudi Arabian top club Al-Hilal.
“The Italian genius is here,” wrote the club for a video on social networks that celebrates the arrival of the new coach. Italian media had previously reported on the agreement. Accordingly, the 49-year-old receives a contract for three years with up to 25 million euros per year. US media, on the other hand, spoke of a two-year contract. So far, there are no official information on the conditions.
The separation from Inter Milan was officially referred to as a mutual decision. Inzaghi said goodbye with the words: “Every day I dedicated my first and last thoughts.” He also said on the club website: “We were sincerely and decided together to end this great journey.”
As the “Gazzetta Dello Sport” reports, the defeat in the final of the Champions League played an important role in the decision to leave the club – although his contract in Milan actually ran until 2026. Exhaustion after four intensive years was also a reason.
In a first interview with his new club, Inzaghi said that he always wanted to work abroad. For him, Al-Hilal is “a great opportunity in my career”. The coach emphasized that he had been pursuing the club for a long time and developed sympathy for him. The conversation was held in Italian – Inzaghi speaks no other language.
Also in conversation with Al-Hilal, the trainer emphasized that “always great and mutual respect” had existed between him and the Inter. Inzaghi does not have much time to get used to. Like Inter, Al-Hilal takes part in the club World Cup in the USA, which runs from June 14th to July 13th. His first game as a coach of the club is already on June 18 – and it has it all: Real Madrid is Real Madrid with the new coach Xabi Alonso.
Inzaghi can look back on all successes with Inter. He was with the club, among other things, Italian champions, cup winners and super cup winners.
