During police controls around the Dutch-German border near Zwartemeer, an internationally searched drug dealer was arrested yesterday morning. It is a 46-year-old man with both Dutch and Turkish nationality. In the latter country he had a prison sentence of 12.5 years.
According to the police, the man, who ran into an arrest warrant, came in Germany by car. Around 9 am he was checked by the police at Schöninghsdorf, just across the border at Zwartemeer.
What the man had exactly on his notch, the police do not announce. In a statement, only drug trafficking is mentioned.
The man is still stuck in Germany but may be delivered quickly to the authorities in Turkey, where he still has more than twelve years in prison.
