International Criminal Court receives Russian threats after arrest warrant against Putin | War Ukraine and Russia

The presidency of the Assembly of States, which houses the 123 member states of the ICC, said threats had been made against the court and “measures” were announced against the prosecutor and judges involved in issuing arrest warrants related to to Ukraine.

The ICC’s legislative body, in a press release, deplored “the efforts to hinder international efforts to ensure accountability for acts prohibited by general international law”.

The Assembly also expressed its full confidence in the court.
