Dynamo Dresden’s captain Stefan Kutschke is criticized for a business partner. The association sees a need for action – and expresses itself.
This message triggers trouble about third division club Dynamo Dresden. Its captain Stefan Kutschke, together with two other shareholders, opened a fitness studio in Dresden. A private business relationship – but the association was compelled to react to this message. Because one of Kutschke’s business partners is said to have a right -wing extremist past.
This became known by a blog entry by “Art Dresden”. According to this, the business partner Kutschkes is said to have participated in events that served to glorify the Waffen-SS. In addition, the article reports that other members of the gym should be active in right-wing structures to this day.
“Every player is free to do business for the association apart from his work, unless this collides with the everyday work and the values of our club,” writes Dynamo’s managing director of communication, David Fischer. “We knew from Stefan’s project to participate in the opening of the fitness studio, but of course we did not make a background check for the people involved,” said the association. According to the revelations, however, one sees “a clear need for action” and want to make it clear that “we clearly distance ourselves from any right -wing ideas.
Stefan Kutschke also commented and wants to refrain from the “Home of Sports Elbflorenz” gym. “With the knowledge brought about, I can and would not like to identify myself with the project that started. As a person, but also as a player and captain, I stand for the values of Dynamo Dresden and would like to fill them with life in the future. My intention was too No time to discredge the club or individuals, “he said.
However, whether Kutschke withdraws from the company “Dynamo Sports GmbH” and ends the connections to his controversial business partner – this remains open.
