The Nerazzurri captain celebrates his 21st title, his third personal one, which became official after the success over Parma: “The most important thing, when you win, is to continue wanting to win. This is my mentality, that of this group and this club: I am happy and proud of this shirt”
“It wasn’t easy to start again after last season, which was very tough for us, having lost all the competitions we had available, so today I’m very happy with this achievement.” Like Barella, Lautaro Martinez also starts from the post-Club World Cup in analyzing how the victory of the 21st championship came about. “What I said then was what I felt and had inside so it wasn’t something I thought about – explains the Nerazzurri captain in reference to his words about the fact that anyone who didn’t want to stay should leave -: I saw some things that I didn’t like and that’s how I am, I say what I think. Maybe at the beginning of the season they didn’t consider us such favourites, but we worked a lot in the dressing room and on the pitch and we managed to do something important.”

The Inter captain also spares no compliments to Cristian Chivu, precisely for his management of the group. “He was very good at bringing new energy, enthusiasm and a bit of participation to everyone, even though we had an impressive 4 years with Inzaghi and we all always made ourselves available – he adds to Dazn -. Maybe we needed a change of scenery because it was written like this: after that final the coach arrived and gave us new energy and within the group, he brought a smile to training and this thing counts for a lot”. Lautaro doesn’t want to stop. “We have been doing important work for many years, even in Europe, reaching 2 finals in 4 years. As I always say, we must continue on this path – he concludes -: the most important thing, when you win, is to continue wanting to win. This is the mentality of me, of this group and of this club: I am happy and proud of this shirt”.
