Inter-Samardzic, the negotiation reopens. Zielinski another goal

Double challenge against Juve, same objectives in the middle of the pitch: the deal for Lazar is reopened, which fell through last summer after the visits. Polish is popular for June

The championship duel also inflames market strategies. It is known that when the big teams take to the field for an objective, it often happens that they discover that their most reliable rival is hidden away and working to overtake them. Inter and Juve are back to challenging each other at 360 degrees and organizing strategies for the next negotiations: both need to add quality in the middle, players capable of jumping the man and creating numerical superiority, of tearing up and hitting from distance. In short, the identikit leads straight to Lazar Samardzic of Udinese and Piotr Zielinski of Napoli, who have totally opposite contractual situations: the Serbian was already close to leaving Friuli in the summer, he is waiting for the right call for the first leap in quality of his career, also to secure his first job as a top-tier player. The Pole, however, after having renounced Saudi Arabia’s money (a lot, around 15 million net per season offered by Al Ahli) to stay in Naples, has still not reached an agreement with the club for the four-year extension: the agreement seemed very close in August, but the situation is currently on standby, so much so that Juve and Inter are considering the possibility of signing him as early as January but for next season, for a zero-cost deal.

Samardzic chapter

Samardzic has never left Inter’s radar and thoughts, despite last summer’s about-face when it came to signing. And this is the big news of the moment. At the end of August, Inter had then bet on Davy Klaassen from Ajax, who however is currently struggling tremendously to find space in Inzaghi’s game system like Stefano Sensi, who is also out of contract and always has his suitcase ready. Samardzic was the name that everyone at Pinetina agreed on: young, with a highly sustainable salary (in Udine he earns around 500 thousand euros per season with bonuses) and potential as a future top player: Lazar has the characteristics that are missing today at the deep Nerazzurri squad and it would be an added value. This is why Inter is considering reactivating the diplomatic machine to investigate the issue and try the blitz. Even more so now that Juve itself seems to have decided to sink the blow, perhaps already in January: the long suspensions of Pogba and Fagioli will force Giuntoli to invest in the midfield and the Juventus manager has liked Samardzic since the days when he was building Napoli from scudetto. Now the time – and the player – seems ripe to work together, Inter permitting.

Zielinski point

The situation of the clubs is therefore different: Juve needs to intervene, Inter can stay on the sidelines and wait for the opportunity. But if one of Klassen or Sensi were to come out, then he would come back strong on Samardzic, trying to beat Juve to the punch. And as early as January Giuntoli and Marotta could begin to duel for Zielinski, if the situation of the contract renewal between the Pole and Napoli does not come to an end. Piotr’s profile corresponds perfectly to the needs of Inter, which with free transfers continues to maintain its competitiveness at a very high level: Mkhitaryan and Thuram are the last two examples and Zielo would have the same impact in terms of quality, temperament, experience and desire to WIN. The salary would not be a problem, as it is not for Juve, where he would find Giuntoli again. Of course, Zielinski is very close to Naples and the Neapolitans, so a lot of diplomatic work will be needed. For sure, however, if it expires, Inter and Juve will be in the front row: to anticipate the other and secure a big player.
